Re: Model TT Rear End Question on Adding a Thrust Washer

I rebuilt mine a few years ago, and having never done one before, got a lot
of guidance from the Antique Auto Ranch guys, where I rebuilt it on the Tuesday
night open shop nights. Give Tom a call for a little advice on the science going
on here. 509 . 535 . 7789

Re: Cleaning a concrete floor

Well, first of all, I allow all sorts of oils and such to get on the floor. It IS a working shop ! But to answer the question, it is almost all used and dirty oil. I will often purposely dump it on the floor, spread it out, let it soak in for a while, and then sweep some of the sawdust I am always m...

Re: Cleaning a concrete floor

When I was a kid, my best friend worked at a gas/service station and I would often drop in at closing time to help him get the closing tasks banged out. One such task was degreasing the service bay floors, and the method they used, and I have used ever since, is to wet the floor with a hose and spre...

Re: Ford Dealer Parts Bins and Dealer Items

This kind of thing really turns my crank. I find the stuff in my life does not fit
well into neat little cubbies, so the attraction is entirely aesthetic and an impractical
expense of space. But man, do I love this kind of thing !!! Thanks for sharing. 👍

Re: Model T Era Photos

Intel reports reads: New Paltz, NY, 1910. I see no automobiles and a lot of horse-drawn vehicles, but the drink menu includes Soda, Mineral Water, Root Beer, and Auto Gasoline ! Interesting to see how auto fuel was marketed (not on every other street corner at brightly lit stations) in the early day...

Re: Old Plank Road

I have always looked at road trips as "adventure". I may have destination,
but everything in between is fair game, and lots of ample time is planned in
to do the trip x10 for all the adventure I always find, especially in an old car.

Re: What Year is this Car ?

The railroad station is for the Colorado Midland, which is about 100
years gone now. The only RR in Rifle today is the old Denver & Rio
Grand, as part of their "Western" extension. In 1997, the Union Pacific
took control of all D&RG assets and the line is now operated by the UP.

Is there enough detail in this photo to make a solid call on the model year ?
